The Cost of Salt
THE COST OF SALT (In Post-Production)
Co-Director
The Cost of Salt is a short film using oral histories, research, and folklore to examine how we learn and share Black history through the lens of southern Illinois. Through the region’s historic sites, we question the ways historical societies, museums, monuments, and historically preserved structures choose to display Black history, and how those choices radiate out through visitors—namely, the film’s crew.
